Officially announced in July 2016, Fleet’s Patronage has been developed in response to the needs of CEF members with regards to corporate vehicle management and the subsequent provision of industry insight and invaluable assistance for member organisations, regardless of size.

Fleet Financial joined leading industry names including Danske Bank, Carson McDowell and JP Corry as part of the CEF’s official Patronage Scheme and has ultimately resulted in the company engaging directly with CEF members over the last nine months, providing professional, industry-leading guidance.

Fleet Financial represents more than a thousand individuals and local businesses across a variety of sectors and its strong, unrivalled position as Northern Ireland’s top contract hire provider provides a firm foundation on which to build a beneficial partnership with the CEF.

Philip Miley, Sales and Marketing Director, Fleet Financial said:

“We are delighted with how successful our Patronage has proven to be to date as we interact with members, employees, partners and stakeholders of the CEF.

“As a company with a fundamental responsibility and investment in the growth of business across Northern Ireland, we have been proactively delivering strategic advice with regards to vehicle finance, fleet maintenance and the importance of health and safety technology, measures and training that can all be utilized by the CEF.”

The Construction Employers Federation represents over 800 companies as members, ranging from micro businesses employing just a handful of people to some of the largest construction companies in Northern Ireland. In total, CEF member companies account for over 70% of all construction output in NI.

John Armstrong, Managing Director at CEF, said:

“It has been very beneficial to our members to have Fleet Financial on board as a Patron since last year and our members are already reaping the benefits.

“Fleet have been educating our broad and varied membership base on issues of relevance including those that drive their own cars for business, or the “Grey Fleet”, the importance of ‘duty of care’ by organisations to their company car drivers, and what the overall ‘wholelife costs’ may amount to as workforces grow and demand increases.”
